Stephen Neale is the NSW Community Development Manager for Community Housing Limited, leading initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of social housing tenants across the state, from Coffs Harbour to Sydney. With a grassroots approach, he develops and implements community-focused projects that foster resilience and inclusion.
Prior to this role, Stephen worked with the Northern Territory Department of Education, where he developed culturally responsive programs and resources for Aboriginal students in remote communities. His career also includes roles in vocational education, teaching at-risk youth and people with disabilities at TAFE Western, and managing large-scale educational projects—consistently demonstrating a strong commitment to community empowerment.
Notable programs under his leadership at CHL include establishing a community centre in West Kempsey, spearheading the Local Drug Action Team, implementing a tenant employment program, launching environmental health initiatives, developing an Aboriginal social housing strategy, and supporting community-identified cultural projects.
