An experienced urban planner with particular expertise in affordable housing, Sophie is currently the Manager of Affordable Housing at the City of Melbourne. In this role, she leads the City’s advocacy, policy development, research and project delivery in affordable housing. Sophie is committed to creating just, equitable and accessible cities, and has successfully delivered complex, high-priority initiatives that further this cause. She has held multiple leadership positions within local government, and her contribution to the profession has been recognized through multiple awards from the Planning Institute of Australia. She sits on the Editorial Board of Cities People Love, an online research platform focused on advancing public debate, initiated by Hodyl & Co.
