Rob Stokes is an urbanist, planning lawyer and housing advocate who serves as Group Executive – Housing at Anglicare. He also chairs Faith Housing Australia and serves on the Board of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects; Museums of History NSW; and the Kings’ Foundation Australia.
Rob was Australia’s first Minister for both Public Spaces and Active Transport, with 16-year political career in the NSW Parliament spanning key portfolios, including Planning, Cities, Transport, Infrastructure, Education, and Environment.
A lawyer and geographer, Rob has read sustainable urban development at Oxford and has completed a PhD in planning law at Macquarie. He been awarded an honorary doctorate in Design from UTS and is an honorary life fellow with the Planning Institute of Australia
