Renee is a proud Whadjuk Ballardong woman who grew up in small country towns throughout the Midwest and Wheatbelt before relocating to Perth in 2007.

Renee has committed her life to building improved relationships between the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community. Those relationships must be built from a foundation honouring the truth of the experience of Aboriginal people since colonisation.

Renee has extensive experience in the child protection system, specialising in foster carer support and advocating for better outcomes for Aboriginal children in care. Renee has also managed state wide government initiatives and reform projects to improve service delivery for Aboriginal people.

Renee is also business woman, having launched Kaarla Baabpa consulting alongside Natasha Kickett in 2023. Renee takes a great deal of pride in her roles as wife, mother and Nan.
