Professor Michael Lennon is a pre-eminent figure in the affordable and community housing sectors, an expert in housing policy, urban planning and related sectors, with four decades of experience in government, executive management, governance, affordable housing innovation and public policy development, across both public and private sectors in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
He is currently the inaugural Chair in Regional Housing and Planning at Adelaide University, and a member of the team leading the initiative to develop a National Housing Centre of Excellence (CoE).
He is a member of the Federal Government’s National Housing Supply and Affordability Council, and served on Housing Australia Future Fund’s Evaluation Panel in 2024.
He continues to provide high-level counsel to all levels of government and input to a wide range of inquiries and advisory bodies on housing and planning matters.
