Mae De Sesto is the Accommodation Manager at the Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania. She works alongside staff, community members, and service providers to support newly arrived migrants and refugees to find safe and stable housing. Mae oversees repurposed accommodation sites in Tasmania and leads an innovative model that connects newcomers with local hosts to help build rental histories and foster community connections. With a background in project management and community development, she focuses on practical, person-centred and community-led responses to housing challenges that are also trauma-informed and culturally appropriate.
