Lola Ryan is a Dharawal woman from the La Perouse Aboriginal community on the shores of Botany Bay, Sydney. She is the ninth child of ten children and was born on an Aboriginal mission. Lola is a mother of 3 children and 2 granddaughters. Lola has worked in various jobs from the age of 14 and today is an Aboriginal Health Worker for the Child & Family Health Team, Community & Population Health, South East Sydney Local Health District, a position she’s held for 20 years. Lola is involved in many projects benefiting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal families.
