Humair Ahmad is a social and affordable housing specialist. An architect and urban planner by education, he is currently the Executive Director, Programs and Partnerships at Homes NSW. Humair has played a direct role in the growth of the community housing sector in NSW through programs related to management transfers, title transfers and funded new supply. Humair oversees the delivery of a range of crisis and transitional housing, private market head leasing, homelessness, social and affordable housing programs. 

Over the last 15 years Humair has supported achievement of social and affordable housing outcomes through robust commissioning of services in a multi-provider housing system. Before moving to Australia, Humair worked on various low-cost housing and infrastructure projects for people living in urban informal settlements and disadvantaged rural areas. Humair was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2024.
