Jefa is a founding Director of Greenaway Architects (est. 1998), an Adjunct Industry Fellow at Swinburne University, an Honorary Fellow of Design at Deakin University and a registered architect in both NSW and Victoria.


Current projects include the 240 bed UTS National First Nations College in Ultimo NSW, the Garma Institute project in Gunyangara NT, and Yaitya Ngutu Wardli, at the University of SA, Adelaide.


He was a 2020 Design Institute of Australia’s ‘Hall of Fame’ inductee, signifying an outstanding contribution to Australian design. In addition, he was named in the 'Qantas 100 Inspiring Australians' and received the 2023 INDE.Award special prize 'the Luminary' recognising an individual whose entire portfolio represents a lifetime of design finesse and distinction. 


Recently, Jefa has been a member of the Ministerial Advisory Board of Homes Victoria in support of the $5.3B 'Big Housing Build', and has been involved in residential architecture for three decades.
