My name is Brett Goring, My mother is a Yamatji woman from Geraldton. My father is English/Scottish. I was born in Perth Boorloo which is located on Whadjuk Noongar Country. I’ve had quite a colourful life with colourful experiences. More negative than positive.
There has been a substantial amount of time where I was stuck in victim mode. Over the last couple of years, I have become a survivor and educator.
My life’s challenges have led to a LE Profession. I am now currently employed as a Lived Experienced Peer Navigator with Djenabidet Kalleep. To go from being homeless myself, to now being able to walk along side and often holding space for mob while on their own journey out of homelessness is a massive privilege.
