Australia's premier housing conference returns to Perth
01 May 2025
The National Housing Conference 2025 (NHC25) is once again set to bring together Australia’s housing sector and policy makers at all levels of government, for discussions that will shape the future of housing in Australia.
NHC25: Time to Deliver
The three day program will deliver over 30 sessions developed by leading experts in collaboration with the housing sector, along with multiple networking opportunities.
The 2025 program features a wide range of topics in four content streams:
- Economic enablers: delivering housing and services effectively, efficiently and fairly
- Social outcomes: delivering safe, accessible and affordable housing for all households and communities
- Quality and performance: delivering well located, well designed and well constructed housing to support resilience
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander led housing solutions and innovation
What’s in store
Featuring leaders from across Australia, the program brings together the perspectives from all corners of the housing system for rich discussions tackling the nation’s greatest challenges.
Day one features sessions exploring infrastructure-housing projects, private landlord dynamics, leadership in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing delivery and climate resilience strategies. The day concludes with a provocative discussion interrogating whether supply alone can solve Australia's housing crisis.
Day two shifts focus to rental housing as Australia's increasingly dominant tenure, with insights from NSW Rental Commissioner Trina Jones, followed by deep dives into planning cities of the future, First Nations partnerships and social housing finance models.
Day three explores the future of social housing, alongside practical sessions on modern construction methods, workforce development, faith-based housing contributions and more. A final forward-looking plenary will explore the critical challenges and next steps for housing delivery.
Session speakers to be announced soon.
